Who is Faber and where does Montag meet him?

Faber is a professor, or at least, he was one, until his university closed due to a lack of students. He's been living an unassuming but quietly rebellious life, refusing to concede to the societal pressures that led to his forced retirement, and seeing modern life as a series of high-pressure, fast-paced purchases, entertainments and other diversions through which people are told their lives gain meaning.

Montag and Faber initially met in a park, before the events of the novel, and Faber deduced that Montag wasn't the same as other firemen, giving him his phone number in the event he was "angry with him", although this was probably just a veiled hope that Montag would contact him. In the present, Montag recalls that this option is available to him, and that Faber is probably the only person with the ability to help him. After calling Faber, Montag visits him at his home.
