One of the very first steps in writing a literature review is to determine the scope of the review, that is, what has to be included and what can be excluded. This can be done by doing a thorough literature search online and/or in the library. I would suggest using google scholar for the search. Depending upon how much time you want to spend on the review, you can limit yourself to a small or a large number of published articles and books.
For the topic at hand, you can include human activities such as, deforestation, pollution, landfills, expansion of urban centers, etc. in your review. You may need to explain what each of these activities are and how do they impact the wildlife and residence. For example, pollution is the degradation of resources, such as, water, air, land, etc. Water pollution by industrial and municipal discharge is causing adverse health effects to the wildlife and may force them to migrate. Deforestation is directly causing a lose of habitat and food sources of several wildlife species. One can also talk about adverse effects to the wildlife by light pollution (especially from urban areas), since several species are unable to sleep due to it, which may affect their body clock and/or will force them to migrate to other areas.
It would also be beneficial if you could include some examples or case studies of each type of environmental degradation and its effects on the wildlife.
Hope this helps.
