Where was "The Red-Headed League" by Arthur Conan Doyle published?

Sir Arthur Conan Doyle first published "The Red-Headed League" in the magazine The Strand in August 1891. The Strand was a British monthly magazine that began in January 1891 and continued to March 1950. For its first four decades it was edited by Herbert Greenhough Smith, whose active promotion of Sherlock Holmes and the encouragement he gave Arthur Conan Doyle had much to do with the success of the stories. Doyle was a regular contributor to The Strand during his lifetime, contributing 121 short stories as well as articles, novels, and even a poem. "The Red-Headed League" was the second Sherlock Holmes story to be published in The Strand, coming after "A Scandal in Bohemia" the previous month. Those two stories plus ten subsequent ones were later published in a collection of stories called The Adventures of Sherlock Holmes, released in October 1892 in both the United Kingdom and the United States.
